1:1 Calm Mind, Wild Body

3 month 1:1 yoga therapy program

In this comprehensive program, we’ll work together to figure out what’s been holding you back, physically, energetically and emotionally, and help you find joy and love for yourself again. Through the combination of multiple one-on-one yoga therapy sessions with Alyssa integrated with digestive health support and massage therapy, energy therapy and/or Thai yoga massage, we’ll work together to peel back the layers and address the root issues for your chronic pain, anxiety, burnout, and more.

This program is recommended for those who already know and partially understand some of the issues they are facing and want to dive in, get more guidance and start addressing the root cause.

In-person program in Indianapolis only at Embarque.

What is Yoga Therapy?

Although all yoga is potentially therapeutic and healing, yoga therapy is the specific application of yogic tools - postures/exercises, breathwokd, meditation techniques, and more - to address an individual's physical, mental, and emotional needs. Many people first learn about yoga through its physical practices, but a common misconception is that the discipline is all about stretching or movement. In fact, yoga therapy can help people who can't move at all, as well as active individuals!

The yogic model of health is unique because it addresses every aspect of life rather than considering each body part of system separately.

Yoga therapy is a safe way of working with the natural capacity of your body and mind to optimize well-being. This approach can help with a range of concerns:

Pain, including low-back pain, arthritis, PMS, and other types of chronic pain such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome
Neurologic issues and complications of stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
Mental health, including concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, insomnia, and others
Major illness like diabetes, cancer, and heart disease
Healthy aging, including osteoporosis and fall prevention

Yoga therapy can also support people who are dealing with stress, and those who simply want to increase their well-being and overall health.

"I had a gradual release of tension and better understanding of how past trauma has contributed to my physical health. The releasing of tension in my hips was a totally different focus than traditional PTs and OTs had identified since my pain manifested in my shoulders and neck. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm sure glad I did it!"

"Working with Alyssa not only helped me feel validated with the symptoms I was experiencing, but actually provided me with options to address my concerns.  She tailors her services to your individual needs and employs a wide variety of techniques to ensure you truly find relief and begin to be YOU again.  I would urge anyone who believes their current state is just 'how it is' to explore one-on-one therapy with Alyssa to return to being your true, best self!
