#018: The Power of the Breath with Linda Oschins

Today’s guest, Linda Oschins, is also one of my mentors in yoga therapy and a master of pranayama. She shares a more in-depth look of this limb of yoga and the practice of breathing techniques. as well as her explorative journey to deepen her knowledge of pranayam.

I was blessed with the opportunity of studying the breath and pranayama practices with her for nine months and it literally transformed my body and mind and how powerful energetic practice could be in changing our state.

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • What exactly is pranayama and more about this ancient, energetic practice

  • The importance of breathing properly

  • More about breathing exercises in yoga / {aka pranayama}

  • Why seek out a deeper understanding of pranayama

  • How yoga therapists can assist in helping you bring life back to parts of your body by using the breath

  • How pranayama techniques are used to alter mood
